Job summary

kvp is seeking a dedicated Hot Shot Driver to transport time-sensitive and high-priority loads. You will deliver materials safely, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate logs while complying with DOT regulations.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work with Construction Supervisors. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with potential weekend variations, and the job is located in Texas with home time as negotiated.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Minimum five years of driving experience; heavy haul exposure preferred.
• Experience with flat bed, step deck, low boy preferred.

Key Functions

• Safely deliver materials
• Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Maintaining appropriate paperwork and logbooks
• Knowledgeable of D.O.T regulations
• Conducting and documenting Pre-Trips and Post-Trips
• Observe and report mechanical and safety failures
• Complies with federal and state traffic laws
• Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning and washing
• At times, participate in labor assignments
• Maintain a safety-first mindset
• Works well under the direction of Construction Supervisors

Qualifications

• Must have a Valid Class A CDL Driver’s License
• Minimum five (5) years of driving experience strongly preferred flat bed, step deck, low boy with 2 years of verified heavy haul experience
• Preferred Experience in Construction type equipment
