Job summary

Pret A Manger in New York is seeking a Prep Cook to join the shop team. You will help ensure hot food is prepared, presented, and served to Pret standards while maintaining cleanliness and safety.

You’ll train team members on hot food prep, support equipment maintenance, and help manage stock and product launches. A NYC Food Handlers Card is preferred, and kitchen experience is required.

Responsibilities

• To coach and train Team Members and Team Member Stars on hot food preparation and standards.
• To liaise with the management team to ensure hot food training is planned and carried out.
• To conduct hot food team briefs and attend relevant meetings, courses, and conferences.
• To ensure all hot food training materials are up to date.
• To follow Pret’s dress code and be immaculately presented in the Prep Cook uniform.
• To ensure hot food is prepared and displayed according to Pret’s planograms and standards.
• To maintain high quality and availability of hot food throughout the day.
• To manage new hot food product launches effectively and on time.
• To ensure hot food is cooked and held at correct temperatures and recorded.
