We offer a competitive pay range based on your skills and capabilities. Waste Pro supports your professional growth through ASE Certification fee reimbursement, potential pay increases, and a Master Technician Achievement Bonus. Technicians are also eligible for a monthly tool allowance of up to $50.

Summary of Position:

Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, body components, and systems in heavy and light-duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems. May involve welding and fabrication.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs to ensure safe, efficient operations. Complete repairs as per DVIR and repair orders.
  2. Communicate vehicle issues to managers/drivers and discuss preventive techniques.
  3. Complete all required paperwork promptly.
  4. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
  6. Use vehicle electronic systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs.
  7. Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
  8. Perform repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
  9. Uphold high standards of ethics and dependability.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical, hydraulic system inspections, diagnosis, and repair.
  • Proficient in diagnostic tools and interpreting service manuals.
  • Ability to complete work within suggested repair times and estimate required time and materials.
  • Ability to guide and assist Assistant Technicians and Shop Helpers.
  • CDL Class B preferred within 12 months; no CDL required initially.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Participate in company-sponsored training courses.
  • Stay updated on current technology used by Waste Pro.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. Exposure to chemicals and waste, physical activities including lifting, bending, reaching, working in extreme weather, and using PPE. Able to get in and out of trucks frequently and lift up to 75 pounds.

Work environment includes inside and outside settings with occasional extreme weather exposure.
