Job summary

Tech24 is seeking a Hot & Cold Technician in Knoxville, TN and surrounding markets to service commercial cooking and refrigeration systems. The role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of equipment while delivering exceptional customer service.

Prior experience and proper licensing are required, with strong troubleshooting skills emphasized. We offer weekly pay, a company vehicle, gas card, uniforms, and phone, plus a generous PTO/holiday schedule, medical/dental/vision

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial foodservice and/or refrigeration repair experience.
• EPA Universal Certification and Kentucky Journeyman license required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers).
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, prep tables, ice machines).
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe efficient equipment operations.
• Accurately document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company system.
• Clearly communicate repair status, recommendations, and timelines to customers.
• Manage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stocked.
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Represent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer service.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities.

About the Center

Tech24 is proudly led by former technicians with a heavy emphasis on quality of life for our technicians and doing the right thing for our customers. We are looking for experienced Commercial Hot/Cold Technicians in our Knoxville, TN market. Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial hot kitchen equipment is preferred.

Position Summary

As part of the Tech24 KY team and broader Tech24 network, our Hot & Cold Technicians play a critical role in servicing both commercial cooking (hot side) and refrigeration (cold side) equipment. This role is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of commercial kitchen and refrigeration systems while delivering exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in solving problems, minimizing customer downtime, and representing the company with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, etc.)

Compensation Transparency

The advertised pay range for this position is $30-$50 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, technical certifications, skill set, and overall qualifications. Candidates with advanced commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience, manufacture certifications, or specialized expertise may be considered at the higher end of the range.
