Job summary

The University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) in Columbia, MO is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support isotope production and research operations. You will perform preventative and emergent maintenance on hot cells, glove boxes, manipulators, and related systems in a highly regulated environment.

Ideal candidates have mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to document work and manage spare parts while following strict safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two year associate degree in a technical field preferred.
• Experience working on mechanical equipment.
• Experience performing maintenance and following procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergent maintenance on production and research equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Maintain and repair hot cells, manipulators, glove boxes, and related systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inside glove boxes and on glove box equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities and repairs.
• Manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are stocked.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and support changes.
