Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Dockworker (Hostler) in Memphis to move trailers, operate forklifts, and dock equipment with safety and efficiency. You will handle loading/unloading duties, work across shifts, and support a busy freight operation on a climate-controlled yard.

The role requires basic math, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a pre-hire test. Experience in dock environments is preferred, along with strong attention to detail and reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Able to perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Pass a company-paid, post-offer pre-hire test.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Preferred: dock/warehouse experience in transportation, forklift experience, loading/unloading trailers, strong communication, attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers throughout the property.
• Use motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Load freight at least one day per week.
• Operate a hostler in all weather; stand/walk for extended periods.
• Safely operate heavy equipment and connect/disconnect a converter dolly.
• Work safely and follow company safety policies.
• Use mobile devices to scan and track shipments.
