Location

Come and join our team at this 605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center (OKC Thunder), the Oklahoma Convention Center, and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.

The property includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), a specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), a coffee shop (Park Grounds), and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Additionally, guests can enjoy Mokara Spa, a fitness center, and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) complete with a fire pit, outdoor lawn, and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 20,000-square-foot ballroom, a 10,000-square-foot ballroom, and a 4,200-square-foot outdoor pre-function space overlooking the park.

Job Description

The Omni Oklahoma City Hotel is looking for an energetic part-time Host for the brand new Seltzer's Diner. If you enjoy meeting new people and creating memorable experiences, then this may be the position for you! This role will ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner. Additionally, the host will assist with the Restaurant in Room program.

Responsibilities

1. Greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service.
2. Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing a clean menu in front of the guest.
3. Answer phones and record reservations for large parties.
4. Control high volume outside of the restaurant.
5. Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and the well-being of guests.
6. Assist servers when needed.
7. Thank every guest upon departure, invite them to return, and wish them a fond farewell.
8. Deliver Restaurant in Room deliveries in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Prior host experience preferred.
• Must be able to multi-task and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire shift.
• Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 lbs without assistance.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must obtain Food Handler's certification upon hire.
• Must obtain TIPs certification upon hire.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the hotel.
