The Role

The Host Person greets and seats restaurant guests and processes all sales transactions.

Responsibilities

1. Greet and seat guests based on their preferences, table availability, and rotation guidelines.
2. Manage business flow and customer distribution to servers, following management directions and ensuring fair seating rotation.
3. Provide menus, inform guests of specials and featured items.
4. Coordinate with food servers, bus persons, and other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
5. Operate electronic cash register to handle payments accurately and securely.
6. Keep the host area stocked with necessary supplies.
7. Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency.
8. Maintain regular attendance.
9. Answer phone calls and take to-go orders.
10. Follow the Thoughtful Service Model at all times.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. Must adhere to company policies, including health, fire, and safety regulations. Regular attendance is required.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. 3-6 months of related experience in a food, hotel, or casino environment preferred.

Certificates and Licenses

Ability to obtain and maintain regional health cards/licenses, if applicable.

Skills

• Experience with POS systems preferred.
• Ability to remember details, work quickly, and observe surroundings.

Physical & Work Environment

Standing, walking, reaching, bending, carrying, and lifting up to 20 lbs. Inside, noisy environment with odors.
