Job summary

Milk & Honey, a vibrant New Orleans themed Southern Brunch destination, is seeking a Host to be the face of our dining room. You will greet guests warmly, manage seating with grace, and coordinate with the waitstaff to start every guest's experience on a high note.

Bring your charm and strong communication to our fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role offers flexible shifts, weekends and holidays, and the chance to contribute to a welcoming, memorable visit for every guest.

Qualifications

• Clear verbal communication and ability to interact with guests in a busy environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (6–8 hours).
• Excellent guest service and a welcoming demeanor.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

As a Host, you'll be the face of our establishment, greeting guests with genuine hospitality and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience from the moment they walk through our doors. Your friendly nature and exceptional customer service skills will set the tone for our guests' visit, as you expertly manage seating arrangements and coordinate with the waitstaff. Responsibilities

• Creating a memorable first impression by warmly welcoming guests with a radiant smile and genuine enthusiasm.
• Managing the flow of the restaurant, expertly coordinating seating arrangements to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.
• Engaging guests with your exceptional communication skills, providing them with helpful information about our menu and specials.
• Mastering the art of multitasking as you gracefully handle guest inquiries, phone calls, and reservation bookings with efficiency and poise.
• Collaborating with the waitstaff to ensure timely seating and smooth transitions between guests, optimizing our restaurant's efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Embracing the role of an ambassador of hospitality, ensuring that each guest feels valued and receives personalized attention throughout their visit.

Qualifications

• Experience in high volume, upscale causal dining or an equivalent service environment preferred.
• Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends, and some holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours).
• Lift and carry up to 20 lbs (e.g., menus, high chairs, booster seats).
• Reach, bend, and stoop occasionally.
• Use hands and arms to operate reservation systems and phones.
• Clear verbal communication skills and ability to interact with guests in a busy environment.
• Ability to remain calm and composed while multitasking in a fast-pace setting.
