Job summary

Parker Personal Care Homes, Inc. (PPCH) is seeking dedicated individuals to become Host Home Providers.

You would support adults with IDD in your own home, offering personal care, safety in the community, and opportunities for daily living activities. PPCH provides training in CPR/First Aid, medication administration, rights and confidentiality, and more, with ongoing supervision to ensure high‑quality care and a safe, respectful home environment.

Qualifications

• Provide services for 1–3 members in your home on an ongoing basis.
• Must successfully complete PPCH’s required training courses.
• Able to chart daily member activities and medications in a web-based system.
• Demonstrate professionalism and compassion toward members.
• Able to focus on individualized care and support with clear communication.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and supportive home environment for member(s).
• Assist with activities of daily living and socialization.
• Coordinate health appointments and monitor medical needs.
• Support learning new skills and increasing independence.

Host Home Providers

Host Home Providers are most urgently needed in the following areas:

• West Denver Metro Area (Boulder, Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, Arvada, etc.)

We also need bilingual providers who speak both English and Spanish.

Parker Personal Care Homes (PPCH) is looking for dedicated, honest, and responsible individuals to provide compassionate care and support to adults with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities in your home and as a part of your family.

We look for folks who can offer services and supports that might include personal care, problem solving, safety in the community, learning new skills, increasing levels of independence, managing challenging behaviours and/or medical needs. You must be willing to provide a home that is safe and supportive while assisting with activities of daily living, recreation and socialization, health and safety concerns and medical appointments. We provide all of the necessary training for our providers to be successful, including training in the areas of developmental disabilities, CPR, First Aid, medication administration, behavioural safety training, members' rights, confidentiality, and more.

PPCH offers host home settings for individuals requesting to reside in a home with their provider. Individuals who require verbal and/or physical assistance with daily needs often consider a host home setting.

What is a Host Home setting like?

PPCH has numerous host homes located throughout the metro area. Each host home is unique in its area of specialty, general layout and physical location.

What are the responsibilities of a Host Home Provider?

The Host Home Provider's main focus is to provide a safe and supportive environment for the member(s) in services in their home. Each Host Home Provider is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of the individual living in their home, while ensuring they will have plenty of opportunities for socialization and access to community resources.

What type of training does a Host Home Provider receive?

PPCH provides specialized trainings to all providers. These trainings include CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, Customer Rights & many other areas. All host homes are monitored closely by PPCH to ensure that the member in services is receiving the highest level of care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to provide services and support for 1 - 3 members in your own home on an on-going basis
• Must successfully complete PPCH’s required training courses
• Must be able to chart individual daily member activities and medications in a web-based system (training is provided)
• Have professionalism and compassion
• Able to focus on individualized care and support
• Ability to teach others
• Have good written and verbal communication skills
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must clear background screening and reference checks
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Office Suite, or similar software
• Experience with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required
