Link Restaurant Group was founded by James Beard Award-winning Executive Chef Donald Link and Stephen Stryjewski, with the goal of supporting the continuous growth of their family of restaurants in New Orleans. Currently, their portfolio includes Herbsaint, Cochon, Cochon Butcher, Peche Seafood Grill, Gianna, La Boulangerie, and Calcasieu Private Dining. Growing up in South Louisiana, Chef Link learned the importance of traditions and the region's unique flavors, which influence their philosophy of producing honest, simple food.

Are you the consummate host or hostess? As the first person to greet our guests and one of the last contacts, your role is vital. We seek warm, engaging, and professional individuals to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Greet all guests entering the restaurant (by name if possible) and thank all guests leaving the restaurant.
  2. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and front door area.
  3. Answer phones, take reservations.
  4. Perform mailing, posting, filing, or other projects as assigned by the Manager on duty.
  5. Efficiently seat guests according to company standards to maintain an organized floor.
  6. Communicate clearly and politely with guests regarding delays and wait times.
  7. Ensure menus (including dessert menus and wine lists) are clean, in good condition, and presentable.
  8. Present menus and offer a quality farewell: “Enjoy your dinner!”
  9. Provide reservation counts and inform the Manager of any special requests, large parties, private events, etc.
  10. Engage management for any guest issues or complaints.
  11. Inform servers and managers of special requests, celebrations, allergies, etc., upon guest seating.
  12. Guide guests comfortably to their tables.
  13. Check bathrooms regularly for cleanliness, restock supplies, and empty trash cans as needed.
  14. Adhere to grooming and dress code standards.
Skills and Requirements:
  1. Minimum 1 year of host or restaurant experience in a high-volume environment.
  2. Ability to work in an organized and professional manner.
  3. Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  4. Quick thinking and adaptability in a changing environment.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Strong work ethic, hospitality sense, and collaborative attitude.
  7. Receptive to constructive criticism and feedback.
Physical Demands:
  • Visual, auditory, speaking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, bending, and moving intermittently during shifts (with or without accommodations).
