A Host greets and facilitates the guest experience by scheduling reservations, organizing server sections, and maintaining an efficient customer flow. The Host is responsible for communicating feedback from customers and informing staff of menu or operational changes.
Assistant Manager
Must consistently be able to assess, anticipate, and meet multiple guests’ needs at high standards and evaluate customer satisfaction without projecting a mood that detracts from the guests’ experience. Practical knowledge of industry customer service standards is required.
Must clearly communicate in a professional manner with guests, vendors, coworkers, and management. Ability to promote two-way communication by presenting clear ideas using thoughtful and responsive words. Must understand instructions, read written memorandums, and communicate when more direction is needed.
Must adapt to different personalities of guests and coworkers without losing focus. Maintaining positive relationships is essential for a team-oriented environment.
Recognize problems when they arise and resolve them appropriately using good judgment, tact, and initiative according to company policy.
Assess the importance of customer needs to maintain high standards of quality.
Use sales techniques and persuasive communication to up-sell products and services.
Perform moderate physical activities including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials.
Use logic and reason to identify solutions and alternatives for successful outcomes, including cost/benefit analysis, quality, and conflict resolution.
Utilize organization techniques in a fast-paced environment to ensure efficiency and respect others' time. Lead and coordinate team members to maximize efficiency.
Possess or quickly learn general accounting, mathematical skills, and point-of-sale applications.
Speak and write in English with excellent command, including proper spelling and grammar.
May work overtime when needed and assist with workload of others.
Take action frequently, collaborate with team members, and develop new ideas focused on results.
