Job summary

Vox Media in New York is seeking a Creative Producer for Podcast Advertising to lead the creative vision for host-driven ads, collaborating with writers, producers, and brands to craft compelling formats across audio and video.

You’ll manage end-to-end production, write scripts under tight deadlines, cast and direct VO talent, gather assets, and iterate with internal teams to push the boundaries of podcast advertising.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Copywriting chops and the ability to distill a client’s story for listeners.
• Familiarity with advertising, branded content, agencies and advertisers.
• Experience managing creative projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Confident and kind communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Great writing skills; light audio engineering is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative and creative spirit; openness to evolving work.
• Video/audio editing and light mixing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write and revise scripts for daily ad production on tight deadlines.
• Work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholder teams from pre-sale to post to execute branded content.
• Own end-to-end production of host-driven content including pitches, kick-offs, project plans and timelines, approvals and feedback.
• Develop new host-read formats with Brand Studio for scripts or new products.
• Gather creative assets including remote host reads, tape syncs, interviewing, music and sound effects.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with branded content and standard ad products.
• Review host read ads and provide constructive feedback to freelance writers.
• Cast, schedule and direct VO talent for custom segments and daily production.
