Job description

From the Philadelphia hospitality group CookNSolo, behind celebrated restaurants Zahav, Laser Wolf, Jaffa Bar, Goldie, Lilah, and K’Far, Dizengoff is in search of a Part Time Host who is interested in cross-training as a Runner.

Located on Sansom Street just off Rittenhouse Square, Dizengoff is a full-service Israeli restaurant (a “hummusiya”, meaning “hummus stall” in Hebrew) open seven days a week.

This role will assist with Hosting and Food Running throughout service.

Direct responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting guests
  • Creating reservations and fulfilling guest requests
  • Assisting with bussing and resetting of tables
  • Managing a high volume restaurant environment
  • Representing the restaurant warmly
  • Delivering and describing food eloquently and efficiently
  • Expediting food quickly and precisely
  • Assisting Back of House with organization
  • Acting as a liaison between the kitchen and the floor
  • Supporting fellow Front and Back of House team members

Dizengoff is open Monday - Friday from 11am - 9pm, and Saturday - Sunday from 11am - 10pm. Service style is fun and casual, with elements of fine dining hospitality mixed in. We are looking for people who are friendly, enjoy working in a team, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are interested in learning.

Starting rate is $5 per hour plus tips. Weekends are required.
