Job summary

Turning Point Restaurants in Westfield, NJ is seeking friendly hosts for daytime shifts. You will greet guests, seat them, and manage waiting areas in a fast-paced, casual dining atmosphere.

Our team emphasizes work-life balance, employee discounts, and opportunities to transfer across NJ/PA/DE locations as we expand. Prior restaurant experience is nice but not required, and you should be able to stand all shift and lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior restaurant experience is recommended but not required.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
• Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation.
• Answer the phone and take to-go orders when necessary.
• Keep the host stand neat, tidy, and presentable for guests.
• Wipe and set tables, replace condiments, or other supplies.
• Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.
• Running food as needed to both bar and server’s tables.
• Assist the servers with any needs they may have to keep the guests happy.
• Respond to any guest's requests during the shift.
