Landmark Hospitality is seeking a Daytime/Evening/Weekend Host/Hostess to join their team.

Landmark Hospitality owns and operates iconic venues such as the Liberty House, Hudson House, Stone House at Stirling Ridge, The Ryland Inn, Village Hall, Felina, The Farmhouse, and the Boathouse at Mercer Lake in New Jersey, as well as Hotel Du Village and the Logan Inn in Pennsylvania.

The company specializes in upscale restaurants, event spaces, and boutique hotels and is expanding. Exciting opportunities are available!

Job Description

The restaurant hostess role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to manage different server sections effectively. Responsibilities include:

  • Taking reservations for brunch or dinner.
  • Answering phones, directing calls, and logging messages.
  • Confirming reservations and noting special occasions.
  • Organizing reservations on the seating chart.
  • Greeting guests and seating them appropriately.
  • Providing menus and ensuring guest comfort.
  • Balancing guest distribution across servers’ sections.
  • Maintaining the seating chart and waitlists.
  • Directing guests to the bar area for drinks or appetizers while waiting.
  • Notifying guests when tables are ready.
  • Keeping the host station organized.
  • Rearranging tables for large parties as needed.
  • Reporting issues to management.
  • Participating in staff meetings.
  • Assisting with setup and cleanup.
  • Handling customer concerns and complaints.
  • Communicating with servers to balance seating.
  • Thanking guests and offering departure treats.
