Airbnb is seeking a senior marketing and communications leader based in California or PST time zone to craft messaging for new features and product updates. You will work with product, design, and community teams to drive adoption, trust, and host success, using AI tools to accelerate drafting and analysis.
You will lead cross-functional campaigns, translate policies into clear narratives, and guide editorial strategy across channels, including email, social, and in-product communications.
Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.
Airbnb’s mission is to create a world where anyone can belong anywhere. We are building an end-to-end travel platform that supports every part of a trip, grounded in trust, belonging, and human connection. Hosts are at the center of everything we do. Airbnb creates opportunities for millions of hosts to build businesses, form relationships, and positively impact their communities. The Airbnb Community team treats hosts as true partners by fostering connection, supporting their growth and success, and incorporating host feedback into products, policies, and platform evolution.
The ideal candidate will have a blend of strategic communications and marketing backgrounds, as well as experience collaborating with both technical and creative teams. We are looking for a fantastic writer with a sharp eye for messaging and positioning, as well as a deep understanding of email marketing, social, in-product channels. They are fluent with AI tools and use them daily to move faster, whether drafting, iterating on a brief/creative, or analyzing sentiment and performance. They are as comfortable building a campaign themselves as they are directing one. They will bring a tremendous passion for Airbnb’s mission, empathy and understanding of our community, and a go-getter approach. This role will bring together traditional product marketing and communications skills to drive adoption for key products and features, foster host success, and engender trust in Airbnb as hosts’ platform of choice.
Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant will need to be based in California or PST time zone to be able to conduct their work. If your position is employed by another Airbnb entity, your recruiter will inform you what states you are eligible to work from.
