Ameristar Casino Resort Spa is seeking team members for various on-site positions in Black Hawk, Colorado. Roles include greeting and seating guests, handling payments, and ensuring smooth restaurant operation with professional service standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, basic math skills, and a friendly, outgoing personality. Experience with POS systems and adding machines is a plus, as is prior cash handling experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous cash handling experience is helpful.
• Must have excellent guest service skills.
• Able to operate a P.O.S. System and/or adding machine and make change.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must be very friendly and outgoing.

Responsibilities

• Receive cash or credit from customers for goods or services.
• Compute bill on POS system or adding machine, make change, and issue receipt.
• Greet and seat patrons.
• Coordinate and control the flow of the restaurant.
• Assign stations to servers and bus persons.
• Supervise the restaurant during the absence of the Restaurant Supervisor/Manager.
• Interact between service staff and patrons when issues arise.
• Ensure that service quality and standards are followed.
• Answer guest questions in the Ameristar standard.
• Answer the telephone professionally.
