Job description

We are looking for Hosts/Bussers to join our team at My Neighbor Felix in Colorado Springs! My Neighbor Felix is a pan-Mexican kitchen and bar, serving up fresh cuisine inspired by all seven regions of Mexico and craft margaritas & cocktails in a chic space with friendly vibes. As a Host/Busser at My Neighbor Felix, you will play a vital role in keeping the dining areas and kitchen running smoothly. You will be responsible for supporting the front-of-house staff by managing reservations, ensuring that the dining area is clean, organized, and ready for guests by assisting waitstaff and maintaining a smooth flow of service. Hourly pay: $11.79 + gratuities (tips)

Qualifications:
  1. Good communication skills to collaborate with waitstaff and kitchen staff.
  2. Physical stamina for long shifts, often requiring standing, walking, and lifting.
  3. Attention to detail and cleanliness.
  4. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  5. Strong organizational skills to manage reservations and guest flow effectively.
  6. Ability to thrive in a high-volume, dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
  7. Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and management.
  8. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  9. Previous experience in a host or busser role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
Host Responsibilities:
  1. Guest Relations: Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, embodying the welcoming atmosphere. Foster positive guest relationships by anticipating needs, providing recommendations, and addressing inquiries with a commitment to the brand.
  2. Reservation Management: Effectively manage reservations, ensuring accurate seating arrangements and optimizing guest flow for both regular and special events.
  3. Communication: Maintain clear communication with the service team to ensure smooth transitions between seating and service.
  4. Guest Assistance: Extend assistance and information to guests, helping them navigate the guests experience and handling any guest concerns or issues with a solution-oriented approach.
  5. Table Preparation and Cleanliness: Clear and clean tables after guests finish their meals. Reset tables with clean dishes, utensils, napkins, and condiments. Sweep and mop floors when necessary. Wipe down chairs, booths, and other seating areas.
  6. Assisting Waitstaff: Support servers by bringing food and beverages to tables. Refill drinks and assist with delivering additional items as needed. Delivering bread, water, or condiments to tables. Keep dining areas organized and free of debris. Restock supplies such as napkins, straws, and silverware. Monitor and clean the restroom area to maintain a presentable environment.
  7. Handling Trash and Dishes: Take away empty plates, glassware, and trash from tables and bring them to the dishwashing area. Ensure the trash bins are emptied regularly.
  8. Assisting with Special Requests: Respond to guests’ needs by helping them with special requests or queries. Ensure a pleasant dining experience by keeping the area tidy.
