Job description

Our SpringHill Suites Boise West/Eagle is currently seeking an experienced food handler to deliver our Complimentary Breakfast Host to our guests and ensure a quality experience. As part of the property team, you will help us craft inspired workplaces that enable all Associates to deliver exceptional guest experiences and maximize investor returns. Responsibilities:

1. Be dependable and prompt, arriving on time and ready to work in a clean uniform with a name tag.
2. Maintain a welcoming and friendly morning personality.
3. Prepare breakfast food and beverage items, setting out all hot and cold food items following all food safety regulations. Replenish all food and beverage items during the meal period.
4. Keep all service areas clean throughout breakfast and happy hour hours.
5. Ensure all tables are properly cleaned, and the dining area is vacuumed.
6. Receive bi-weekly shipments from food vendors and store using inventory control measures.
7. Greet each guest and learn about their experience, aiming to learn three pieces of information about at least 10 guests per day.
8. Create and maintain an appealing breakfast presentation.
9. Maintain cleanliness in the breakfast area, store food properly, and remove trash as needed.
10. Look for cost-effective ways to improve breakfast appeal.
11. Assist in maintaining safety equipment and emergency procedures.
12. Work various weekday and weekend mornings.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
14. ***Must be able to work weekends.***

Other duties/responsibilities:

• Ensure breakfast complies with all brand and local health regulations.
• Maintain inventory of supplies at par levels.
• Follow standards outlined in the food sanitation checklist.
• Complete monthly food inventory.
• Be familiar with hotel facilities, locations, and hours.

Education and Experience Required:

• Previous food handler experience preferred.
• Food handler certification as required by law.
