Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Southaven, MS is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests, open doors, and guide them to their tables with warmth.

You will manage reservations and waitlists via OpenTable, communicate wait times during peak periods, and keep the host stand neat and inviting. This role supports a cohesive front-of-house team and helps ensure a smooth dining experience for every guest.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Able to stand 8 hours or more and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Reliable transportation and guest-oriented mindset.
• 18+ age requirement for FOH positions.

Responsibilities

What we expect of you:

• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
• Open doors and create a friendly, inviting first impression.
• Escort guests to their table and set expectations for their experience.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable with accuracy and care.
• Communicate wait times clearly and professionally during peak volume.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entryway.
• Support the dining room by clearing and resetting tables (bussing) as needed to maintain flow and cleanliness.
• Partner with the Front of House team to ensure smooth, seamless service.
