Upscale French Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced Restaurant Host. In this position, you will greet and seat customers as they arrive, along with taking reservations. Our ideal applicant has hospitality and food service experience and works well in a team environment.

Location:

1 Long Wharf, Sag Harbor

Primary responsibilities:

1. Open door for guests arriving and departing
2. Greet customers as they walk into the restaurant
3. Guide guests to their tables and accommodate specific seating requests
4. Provide menus and answer initial questions
5. Address any special needs or requests of guests
6. Maintain a clean and organized work area
7. Make reservations via phone or in person
8. Manage the waiting list during peak times to set guest expectations

Skills and qualifications:

1. Upbeat, outgoing, and positive attitude
2. Excellent guest relations skills
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
4. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
5. Teamwork ability
6. Physical stamina to be on your feet for extended periods

Languages:

French and Italian (highly preferred)
