Job summary

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is seeking a friendly Host to welcome guests and guide them to seating in a fast-paced, energetic dining environment.

You will greet guests, manage wait times, seat guests, answer menu questions, and keep the front-of-house clean and organized. A hospitality-focused attitude and strong communication are essential, with the ability to stand long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs when needed.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant experience is not required, but preferred.
• Strong communication and a passion for delivering world-class service at every touchpoint.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Push, pull up, or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional kneeling.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
• Provide guests with accurate wait times and manage waitlists.
• Seat guests, provide menus and assist servers with initial drink orders.
• Answer guest questions regarding the menu and KPOT brand.
• Provide accurate information regarding menu, pricing, hours, promotions, and policies.
• Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
• Observe and monitor table turnover by noting occupied, dirty or clean tables.
• Clean and organize the front-of-house and host station.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Inform management of large parties, special requests, or guest concerns.
• Answer phones professionally and courteously.
• Handle to-go inquiries or direct them to the appropriate team member.
• Ensure business cards, beverage menus, and other paper goods are clean and stocked.
• Monitor restrooms periodically and notify management of issues.
• Maintain a positive, energetic, and hospitality-focused attitude at all times.

Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in varying conditions, including heat, cold, and noise.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
