Located in the vibrant heart of downtown Minneapolis' entertainment district, The Lofton Hotel offers an upscale experience with a perfect blend of modern amenities and exceptional service. Compensation: $18.05/HR

What will you be doing?

1. Meet and greet guests as they arrive, gather information such as name, check guest’s reservations or log them in as set up.
2. Politely take guests to table, hand them menus, wine list, and inform them who their server will be, inform them of specials and leave with a courteous greeting.
3. Receive, record, and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
4. Act as a cashier for Dining Room.
5. Thank all guests graciously and invite them to return.
6. Assist with banquet event orders and set up for private functions.
7. Maintain all cleanliness and sanitation of restaurant area along with personal hygiene.

What do you bring to the role?

1. Ability to read, speak, and write the English language, to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, and reservations.
2. Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items.
3. Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.
4. Ability to interact with adults and children in a professional manner.
5. Maintain a clean environment and ensure area is always organized.
6. Ability to work POS system.
7. No prior experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred.
8. Cash handling experience preferred.
