  • Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure efficient seating and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor restaurant capacity and assist with guest flow during peak business periods.
  • Address guest inquiries and communicate concerns or special requests to the appropriate team member or supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY

Welcome and greet guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner. Manage restaurant seating, maintain accurate wait lists, and assist in creating a positive dining experience by ensuring efficient guest flow and excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Greet guests promptly upon arrival and thank them upon departure.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:

  • Assist with clearing and resetting tables as needed.
  • Help maintain menu cleanliness and availability.
  • Support food and beverage operations during special events or busy periods.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary and assigned.

  • Inform supervisor of any guest issues, concerns, or operational challenges.
  • Responsible for the proper handling of all equipment and materials used in the host stand area.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures such as freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F), possibly for one hour or more.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning and organizational tasks.
  • Must be able to maneuver between multiple functions occurring simultaneously.
  • Must be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, walking, repetitive motions, bending, listening, hearing ability, and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Requires manual dexterity to operate telephones, reservation systems, and other necessary equipment.
AVAILABILITY

This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed work day, to include holidays, or time of work if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the amount of hours that you work.
