Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly on arrival.
• Open front door when possible for entry/exit.
• Record guest names and party size when seating is limited.
• Call out party name and size as tables become available.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting times.
• Accommodate special seating requests when possible.
• Seat guests according to preferences and balance flow across stations.
• Offer menus and introduce servers after seating; ensure table is properly presented.
• Maintain accurate guest counts to ensure smooth seating rotation.
• Relay messages to servers and bus staff as needed.
• Thank guests and invite return visits.

Position Title:Host/HostessDepartments: OperationsReports: Unit General ManagerStatus: Non-ExemptPay Rate: $16.00 per hourBroad Functions: Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of guests at a table that best serves their wishes and needs.Main Duties and Responsibilities:1. Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.2. When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.3. When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party.4. Call out the name and number of the party when tables become available.5. Provide guests with estimated waiting time.6. Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.7. Seat guest guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.8. Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name. Inspect the table for proper presentation and completeness.9. Keep accurate guess count to ensure proper and efficient seating rotation.10. Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed.11.
