Job summary

Rock Security is seeking a Security Officer to help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, residents, tenants, visitors, and team members across our properties in Detroit. You will combine security with hospitality to protect people, property, and assets.

You will be among the first contacts for visitors and residents, using professional communication and calm response to diverse situations while maintaining a visible, approachable security presence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant security or hospitality experience.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to spend eight-hour shifts standing or patrolling.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Customer-focused with hospitality mindset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor property with CCTV and assist with access control.
• Patrol assigned areas and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain logs and incident reports.
• Provide information and assistance to guests and residents.
• De-escalate conflicts with professionalism.
• Support security leadership with special assignments.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a safe environment.
