Job summary

Kana Hotel Group is seeking a Laundry Attendant to support housekeeping operations in Columbia, SC. You will load articles into washers and dryers, manage linen flow, and ensure rooms and storerooms stay stocked and secure.

This role requires operating the washer/dryer equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with damage control and linen inventory. HS diploma or GED preferred and previous laundry experience valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with washer/dryer equipment preferred.
• Able to work independently.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Load articles into washers and dryers.
• Understand and add specified amounts of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agents.
• Operate the washer and dryer controls.
• Clean the lint in the dryer filters twice a day.
• Transfers all linens from washer to dryer and starts the next load.
• Ensures all storage & laundry rooms are locked before clocking out.
• Removes laundry from chutes & carts; presorts linens to locate stained or torn items.
• Maintain count of discarded items.
• Fold & stack towels, sheets, and other linens.
• Clean storeroom & laundry area.
• Process damaged linen.
• Make sure there are enough linens per floor and stocks each floor.
• Other duties as assigned
