Job summary

State of Confusion Chattanooga is seeking a Restaurant General Manager to oversee daily operations, lead shifts, and drive service excellence in a fast‑paced upscale casual setting. You will partner with the GM on hiring, training, and developing hospitality‑minded staff while ensuring food safety and compliance with health codes.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, strong financial acumen, and a passion for teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in upscale casual dining.
• Ability to analyze budgets and P&L.
• Proven coaching and development of team members.
• Strong hospitality mindset and service excellence.
• Knowledge of local and national health codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and lead each shift.
• Oversee success of all programs and systems, MIT, Certified Trainers, and hourly training.
• Assist GM with hiring, training, and development of hospitality-focused team members.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food preparation and serving.
• Support FOH operations systems, admin responsibilities, health inspections, order guides, quality control, food safety and sanitation.
• Handle guest and team member complaints swiftly and consistently with SQ1 values.
• Maintain a safe working environment for team members and dining environment for guests; report accidents per SQ1 policies.
• Follow MIT Training and complete projects for personal and professional development.
• Work with the District Operational Manager to ensure financials, payroll, invoices, food and labor budgets are on track.
• Work with programs; CTUIT, Revel, iSolved, Google Suite.
• Ensure our Brand Pillars are adopted and followed at every level.
