Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf seeks a Hospitality Director to oversee the club's overall operation in the Trilogy Centerra community. The role reports to senior operations leadership and ensures exceptional service, revenue growth, and operational excellence across F&B, club facilities, events, and member experiences.

The position requires a 4-year degree in hospitality or related field, 5+ years in senior club leadership, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the club's operations and oversee F&B, Clubhouse, Gate, and Spa/Athletics operations.
  • Supervise staff, manage budgets, and drive revenue while controlling costs.
  • Develop strategic initiatives, vendor relations, and brand consistency across facilities.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.

  • New management full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following the first day of full-time employment.
  • Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (“PTO”) in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year.
  • Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually.

Position Overview

The Hospitality Director works in conjunction with the VP of Operations and/or Area General Manager and is directlyresponsiblefortheoverallsmoothoperationoftheclub.Thispositionreportsto the National Lifestyle Director .

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support the achievement of company goals.
  • Create an overall lifestyle program for Club members that includes activities, events, enrichment opportunities, creative expressions opportunities, culinary arts, and travel.
  • Ensure that a consistent set of superior standards of customer service meet or exceed the expectations of Members and guests at all Club facilities and events.
  • Provide strategic intelligence to partners and clients regarding all Club initiatives, including but not limited to, vision, branding, Lifestyle, Food & Beverage, and Operations.
  • Assist the VP or Area GM in establishing goals and processes for measuring sales, revenue, new projects, and business development for the Club.
  • Support the hiring process.
  • Supervise team members and maintain effective communication related to Club operations, safety, and team member concerns.
  • Assist with budget planning and monitoring support to assure revenues and expenses areachievingandexceedingthedepartment’sfinancialsales goals.
  • Setting up new vendors, processing of invoices and bi-weekly payroll processing and reporting.
  • Manage the Member communication platform, this includes but is not limited to content creation and registration for events, fitness classes, news and more.
  • Instrumental in the onboarding of new Members throughout the life of the community, including resales.
  • Work closely with the marketing and creative team in Central Services to provide on branded materials and menus.
  • Implement, train and operate Point of Sales (POS) system.
  • Monitor the Club’s performance to determine whether strategies and plans require adjustment to positively impact revenues and cost controls.
  • Review and approve short- and long-term strategies and implementation for the Food & Beverage operation.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty .
  • Specific oversight of the Food & Beverage, Clubhouse, Gate, Interior Facilities Maintenance, Spa/Athletics Operations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications / Skills
  • Graduation from a 4 - year accredited college or university or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
  • Involved in key development initiatives directly relating to the clubhouse and restaurant plants. Establish goals and processes for measuring sales, revenue, new projects and business development.
  • Provide strategic intelligence to partners and clients regarding all F&B initiatives including, but not limited to, vision, business planning, capital expansion, branding, menu/restaurant and clubhouse design and the creative and conceptual development of new F&B experiences.
  • Previous General Manager experience or 5+ years of senior club leadership experience.
  • One to three years’ event planning, budgeting, and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous knowledge or experience working in a homeowner association preferred.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry specifically Food & Beverage is required.
  • Community engagement experience desired.
  • Partnership cultivation and management desired.
  • Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) certification (or similar) preferred.
  • Computer literate with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC technology.
  • Club Management System software a plus.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of members, customers, or team members.
  • Must possess basic computational ability as well as budgetary analysis.
  • Must have excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to respond to the needs and requests of staff members, guests, and the community association.
  • Must have planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, time management, supervisory and employee development skills.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, with an ability to think, work, solve practical problems, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.
  • This position requires a flexible schedule, to include evenings and weekends, with some travel.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
Work Environment

This position generally operates in a professional indoor office environment, but also includes walksaroundthefacilitywithexposuretooutdoorconditions.Thereisroutineuseof standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
