Job summary

Lambert McGuire Design seeks a seasoned Designer to lead hospitality projects from schematic through construction in our Austin studio. The role demands strong technical and creative skills, guiding other designers, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring top-quality drawing sets.

Ideal candidates bring 6–10+ years of interior architecture in hospitality, with expertise in Revit, Bluebeam, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• 6-10+ years of interior architecture experience, preferably in hospitality (restaurants or hotels).
• Strong knowledge of codes, consultant coordination, and construction methods.
• Able to lead drawing sets and consultant packages independently.
• Experience managing multiple timelines and shifting project scopes.
• Open to interior designers or architects with strong custom fabrication, detailing, and hospitality experience; licensure not required.

Responsibilities

• Own design development and documentation for projects.
• Lead the production of drawing sets from SD through CDs.
• Coordinate with AORs, engineers, and specialty consultants.
• Attend internal and site meetings, and lead design-related discussions.
• Monitor staffing needs and mentor junior team members.
• Oversee designers and interns to support projects.
