Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking an Hospitality Office Associate to support the Food and Nutrition Services team at Clifton Springs Hospital. The role covers patient meal coordination, accurate diet order input, and on-time tray delivery in a per diem setting.

You will liaise with multiple departments, input dietary details, and ensure patient safety and satisfaction through professional service and careful record-keeping. Per diem shifts include varied hours and possible weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Liaise between Food Services and other departments regarding patient meals and diets.
• Deliver meals and nourishments according to patient ID policies and procedures.
• Assist with all meal service activities.
• Understand fluid restrictions, tube feeding, diet orders and restricted diet standards.
• Enter and update patient dietary information in menu software to ensure accurate diets, allergies and modifiers.
• Communicate patient needs to patients, families, and clinical staff.
• Maintain professional appearance and department hygiene standards.
• Log unit refrigerator temperatures per facility standards.
• Answer and log calls to the nutrition office.
• Provide high levels of customer service as per RRH standards.
• Generate reports, tallies, calorie counts, nourishment labels, tray tickets within time frames.
• Ensure delivery and stocking of supplies to units as required.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Possibly perform daily backup of menu software.

Job Title: Hospitality Office Associate (Food Tray Delivery) Department: Food and Nutrition Services Location: Clifton Springs Hospital

Address: 2 Coulter Road, Clifton Springs, NY Hours Per Week: Per Diem / As Needed Schedule: Top Candidate will be available for both 6:30am to 2:30pm or 11:30am to 7:30pm shifts with Alternating Weekends, could also work Weekday evenings and alternating weekends.

Position Summary

Responsible for the functions of the diet office and hospitality services which includes the organization and input of patient/resident menus to ensure accuracy of diet orders, timeliness of meal delivery and facilitates interdepartmental coordination.

Key Responsibilities

The employee must consistently demonstrate the following essential functions:

• Acts as a Liaison between Food Services and all other departments with respect to patient meals and diets.
• Delivery of meals and nourishments according to established patient identification policies and procedures.
• Assist with all activities related to meal services.
• Knowledge of fluid restrictions, tube feeding, diet orders and standards for restricted diets.
• Ability to transfer medical record information into menu software to ensure diet, allergies and modifiers are processed accurately.
• Communicates patient needs and concerns with patients, families, and clinical staff.
• Maintain a positive representation of Food and Nutrition Services through professionalism, hygiene and uniform.
• Record and maintain unit refrigerator temperature logs according to facility standards.
• Answer and log all incoming calls to the nutrition office.
• Maintain the highest level of customer service as outlined by department and RRH Standards.
• Generate reports, tallies, calorie counts, nourishment labels, tray tickets, etc. and process information within established time frames.
• Responsible for accurate delivery and filling of supplies to units as required.
• Maintain work areas in a safe and orderly manner.
• Responsible for attending and retaining all staff meetings and in-service training.
• May be responsible for daily back up of menu software.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the department.

PAY RANGE: $16.25 - $18.00
