Job summary

Spectrum-Medical-Partners is seeking a Hospitalist in the UF Spanish Plaines area to join our inpatient team. The role focuses on high-quality care for admitted patients, supporting surgical and specialty services, and participating in collaborative, team-based medicine at affiliated hospitals.

The schedule is block-based (7 on / 7 off) with 6 AM – 6 PM shifts, round-robin call, semi-closed ICU with specialist support and dedicated ARNP coverage.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible (IM or FM).
• Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain).
• DEA license (active or eligible).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive histories, physicals, and ongoing assessments of patients in the acute care setting.
• Diagnose, manage, and actively treat a variety of patient conditions, ensuring continuity of daily care.
• Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary rounds.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic studies and laboratory results.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (e.g., suturing, wound care, I&D, splinting).
• Prescribe and manage pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.
• Collaborate with specialty and primary care physicians for consults and coordinated care.
• Ensure efficient use of resources while adhering to clinical pathways and best practices.
• Arrange timely referrals and transfers to tertiary facilities as clinically indicated.

Education

MD or DO degree

Board Certified/Board Eligible (IM or FM)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist to join our team and provide high-quality inpatient care at our affiliated hospitals. The hospitalist will manage the clinical needs of admitted patients, support surgical and specialty services through consultative internal medicine, and participate in collaborative, team-based care.
