Job summary

Sound Physicians is seeking a nocturnist hospitalist to join the Frederick, Maryland team at Frederick Memorial Hospital. This overnight role runs from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and includes admissions, with a split responsibility alongside an Advanced Practice Provider.

The team values collaboration and ongoing education, meets weekly and monthly, uses Meditech Expand, and offers full subspecialty support, a supportive lounge, and free parking.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in internal medicine or family medicine.
• Hospitalist experience required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• The nocturnist shift physicians perform admissions, and will split the responsibility with an APP.
• Our hospitalist team plays a pivotal role in the rapid response team, and the intensivist team manages codes. All team members are certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support. There are no procedural requirements.
• We hold weekly huddles and monthly team meetings, in addition to lunch-and-learn sessions, to stay current on the latest medical developments at the hospital and with Sound.
• We work in Meditech Expand, a web-based system with access to our internal informatics platform.
• We are entertaining candidates looking for full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts.

Rewards and Compensation

• The base salary for a full-time nocturnist is $319,000, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses and growth. Additional compensation is paid for shifts worked above full-time commitment.
