Overview

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician-led, multispecialty group with over 650 providers, offering an excellent opportunity for a Hospitalist to join its growing team in Boise, Idaho. The hospitalist team manages a high-acuity patient population at a 381-bed regional medical center, with typical rounding involving 14-18 patient encounters per day.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse medical caseload including CHF, pneumonia, COPD, pancreatitis, stroke, neurologic conditions, geriatric fractures, and other general medical conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level II Trauma Center.
• Serve as the primary admitting service for primary care providers in the network.

Schedule & Support

• Location: Boise, ID
• Status: Full-Time
• Schedule: 152 shifts/year (7 on, 7 off)
• Call: None; shift work only
• Support: 24/7 anesthesia, in-house imaging/radiology, intensivists, subspecialists, and a Level II Trauma Center.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency.
• Board certification by ABIM or AOBIM.
• Medical licensure in Idaho and Oregon, with DEA and controlled substance registration.
• Privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.

Ideal Candidate

Strong internal medicine or family medicine background with hospitalist training and an interest in teaching residents.
