Hospitalist Physician Job with TeamHealth in IL

Join a team of elite travel physicians as a full-time TeamHealth hospitalist providing care across Lifepoint locations in the southeastern U.S. This role offers a flexible, diverse practice environment with excellent compensation and support.

As a special operations hospitalist, you'll cover various settings including small rural facilities and large regional centers in states like Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, and North Carolina. TeamHealth provides licensure, travel, mentorship, credentialing, leadership training, and competitive pay. Enjoy your off-time with activities outside of medicine.

Qualifications include board certification in internal medicine, the ability to round on 15-20 patients per 12-hour shift, and flexibility with day/night schedules. Comfort in various practice settings and strong relationships with staff are essential.

Clinical Requirements
  • Round on 15-20 patients
  • Comfort with ICU patient rounding
  • Procedures preferred but not required (intubations, vents, lines)
  • Ability to run codes
  • Board certification in internal medicine
  • ACLS certification
Availability Requirements
  • Work 180 hours per month
  • Willing to travel to Lifepoint sites
  • Quick credentialing and scheduling turnaround
  • Maintain compliance with TeamHealth education
  • Participate in monthly calls with leadership
Preferences
  • IM Board Certified
  • At least 3 years of attending physician experience
  • Licensed in a southeastern state
  • Strong performance and quality metrics
