Job Responsibilities

The Nocturnist Hospitalist will provide direct hands-on care to patients within the limits of credentials granted by the Medical Staff of Inova Mt. Vernon, adhering to patient care and admission policies of the Department of Medicine. Responsibilities include:

• Serving as Hospitalist according to a published schedule, including:
• Emergency Department call for the Department of Medicine
• Hospital admissions from community physicians and transfers from outside facilities
• Inpatient consultation as requested by other services

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine
• Licensed to practice internal medicine in Virginia
• Credentialed by Inova Health System as an associate or courtesy member with clinical privileges in internal medicine, including inpatient care
