Job Overview:

Inhospital Physicians (IHP) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nocturnist to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Jeanes Hospital. The ideal candidate will be an experienced physician capable of managing critically ill patients and proficient in performing procedures such as central line placements. This is a unique opportunity to work in a supportive, well-resourced environment that delivers high-quality patient care during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Management: Oversee and manage the care of critically ill patients in the ICU during night shifts.
• Procedural Skills: Central line placements, and respond to acute clinical scenarios.
• Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including APPs, nurses, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Communication: Communicate clearly and continuously with patients' families, updating them on treatment plans and patient status.
• Clinical Documentation: Accurately document all clinical work in the EPIC EMR system.
• Quality Care: Follow evidence-based practices and hospital protocols to ensure high standards of patient care.
  
  

Qualifications:

• MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Experience in an ICU or similar critical care environment preferred.
• Active Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Proficiency in placing lines and managing complex cases independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Active DEA certification.
