Hospitalist Physician in Round Rock, TX at TeamHealth

Job Description

TeamHealth has a new day shift hospitalist opening at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center near Austin, Texas. This is an established program in partnership with HCA. Our physicians work a traditional 7-on, 7-off schedule with shifts from 7am to 7pm, 12pm to 12am, and 7pm to 7am.

St. David's Round Rock Medical Center is a level II trauma designated facility with 175 beds. During the day shift (7am-7pm), there are a total of 6 physicians working: 5 rounding physicians with 1 dedicated admitter, 1 swing physician (12pm-12am) handling 10 admissions, and 1 hospitalist rounding in an acute inpatient rehab. At night (7pm-7am), there is one nocturnist physician and one nurse practitioner managing approximately 10 admissions in total. Full specialty support and a rapid response team are in place to handle codes. The current EMR at all St. David's locations is Meditech.
