Corewell Health Zeeland Hospital is recruiting a full-time Hospitalist to join a team of 6 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers serving Allegan and Ottawa Counties. Shifts include day coverage with a two-physician/one-APP model and nighttime nocturnist coverage via virtual support, with on-site APP assistance as needed.

The role emphasizes quality patient care, collaboration with the care team, and ongoing process improvements in a Level 1 Nursery environment and related services.

Qualifications

• License – Michigan MD/DO.
• BE/BC Internal Medicine Residency or Family Medicine Residency (with inpatient experience).
• Certification - Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certification - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor the medical needs of patients/significant others.
• Provide quality medical services in a cost-effective, appropriate manner and ensure coverage of case load.
• Input into policies and procedures related to medical practice and quality patient care.
• Oversee Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services.
• Evaluate educational needs and develop appropriate teaching strategies.
