Job summary

Owensboro Health Medical Group is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalists team in Leitchfield, KY. This 1.0 FTE role covers 5p-5a with every-other weekend requirements, supporting patient care under physician supervision.

You will obtain histories, perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostics, provide treatment, and document care plans. Kentucky PA licensure and NCCPA certification are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant licensure in Kentucky required upon hire.
• NCCPA certification required upon hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform assessment via interview and examination.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures.
• Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions under physician supervision.
• Provide counseling and education to patients and families regarding preventive health and treatment options.
• May assist in operating room and coordinate registrations and care plans.
