Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens coverage in Salinas, California. Shifts include 3 days 7am-5pm, 1 day 9am-7pm, and 1 night 7pm-7am. Credentialing typically takes about 60 days.

Requirements include an active California medical license, Board Certification in Family or Internal Medicine, and BLS/ACLS/DEA. Meditech EMR is used for charting, with travel and malpractice arrangements provided.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Family or Internal Medicine required.

• DEA registration required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitalist coverage for shifts as scheduled.
• Perform central line insertion and intubation as required.
• Manage patient census per shift (14–16 patients).
• Document and coordinate care in Meditech EMR.

This facility is seeking Hospitalist Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details & Requirements

• Schedule: 3 days shifts 7am-5p, 1 days shift 9am-7pm, 1 night shift 7p-7a


• Total census per provider per shift: 14-16 average


• Procedures required: Central Line Insertion and Intubation


• Electronic Medical Record: Meditech


• Support: Yes


• Certifications and license required: Active California state medical license, Board Certified in Family or Internal Medicine, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)


• Credentialing timeframe: 60 days
