Job summary

Sound Physicians is seeking a Hospitalist in Meadville, Pennsylvania to join a close-knit team delivering full-spectrum inpatient care to adults. The role offers collaboration with a clinical performance nurse and practice coordinator at Meadville Medical Center.

The team includes 8 physicians and 2 advanced practitioners, with a 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule. New graduates are welcome, and H1B sponsorship is available through in-house visa specialists.

Qualifications

• MD/DO credential required.
• Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.
• Pennsylvania state medical license or ability to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full-spectrum inpatient care for adult patients from assessment to discharge.
• IM physicians admit and care for adult inpatients; FM physicians also manage a small number of low acuity pediatric inpatients.
• Closed ICU with no procedural requirements.
• Collaborate with family medicine residents from Meadville Medical Center residency program.

Local Team Collaboration:

Scheduling:

• Flexible scheduling is available. Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver full-spectrum care for low-to-moderate acuity patients, from assessment and diagnosis to treatment and consultation
• IM physicians admit and care for adult inpatients. FM physicians admit and care for adult inpatients and a small number of low acuity pediatric inpatients.
• The hospital has a closed ICU. No procedural requirements
• For those who like to teach, we work with family medicine residents from the Meadville Medical Center family medicine residency
