Job summary

Sound Physicians is seeking a Hospital Medicine Physician in Frederick, Maryland to join an established team at Frederick Memorial Hospital. The day shift runs 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM with one team member staying until 7:00 PM.

The schedule follows a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation for full-time coverage. The base salary is $275,000 with opportunities for performance bonuses and additional compensation for extra shifts.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in internal medicine or family medicine.
• Hospitalist experience required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Rounding and discharges; two dedicated admitters allow focus on patient care.
• Daily MDRs and geographic rounding when possible.
• Hospitalist team participates in rapid response; intensivist team manages codes.
• Weekly huddles and monthly team meetings, plus lunch-and-learn sessions to stay current.
• Work in Meditech Expanse, a web-based system with access to internal informatics.

• The day position is 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM (11 hours), with 1 team member staying until 7:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• The day Hospitalist performs rounding and discharges. There are two dedicated admitters, so you can concentrate on taking care of your patients.
• We hold daily MDRs and do geographic rounding as much as possible.
• Our hospitalist team plays a pivotal role in the rapid response team, and the intensivist team manages codes.
• We hold weekly huddles and monthly team meetings, in addition to lunch-and-learn sessions, to stay current on the latest medical developments at the hospital and with Sound.
• We work in Meditech Expanse, a web-based system with access to our internal informatics platform.

Rewards and Compensation:

• The base salary for a full-time day hospitalist is $275,000, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses and growth. Additional compensation is paid for shifts worked above full-time commitment.
