Position Details

• This is a permanent position.
• Ideal candidates will be internal medicine (IM) trained hospitalists and board certified or board eligible.
• 17-20 patient encounters per day (admissions & rounding).
• Average census of 16 patients.
• Hospital has 131 beds.
• Shifts are 12 hours.
• One rounding day physician (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.) plus one APC.
• Schedule is 7 on / 7 off block.
• Nights are covered by APC; daytime hospitalist handles night telephone calls.
• ICU beds are covered by intensivists Monday through Friday; hospitalist team covers nights and weekends.
• Rapid response and codes are required.
• Vent management is required.
• Uses Cerner EMR.
• Family Medicine training is accepted.
