Sound Physicians in Brockton, MA seeks a Hospital Medicine Physician to join our local team with a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation and 7am–7pm hours. Our close-knit group supports professional growth, collaboration, and work-life balance in a community-focused setting.

You will join 17 physicians and 5 APPs, with a dedicated site coordinator and a clinical performance nurse. The hospital uses Meditech, and there are opportunities to teach residents from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible internal medicine or family medicine physician.
• Authorized to work in the United States or require H1b visa support.

Responsibilities

• Round and discharge patients with a swing physician handling admissions.
• Daily MDRs and geographic rounding when possible.
• Teach transitional year residents from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where possible.
• Hospital has a closed ICU with intensivists on hand 24/7; procedures not required.
• Contribute to the rapid response and code team; team is BLS/ACLS certified and intensivists take over on arrival.
• Team connects at lunch to address concerns and updates on Sound and hospital matters.
• Open to full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts.
• Use Meditech and access internal informatics platform.

Local Team Collaboration

• Join our close-knit group of 17 physicians and 5 advanced practice providers (APPs) at Brockton Hospital.
• We have a dedicated site coordinator assigned to this team to help maintain a healthy work-life balance.
• Our clinical performance nurse will assist in delivering an exceptional patient care experience.

Scheduling

• Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation. We cover for each other so we can take time off when needed.
• Hospitalist hours are from 7am to 7pm.

Key Responsibilities

• As a Hospitalist Physician you will round and discharge patients. There is a dedicated swing physician who handles admissions.
• We have daily MDRs and practice geographic rounding when possible.
• You may have the opportunity to teach transitional year residents from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
• The hospital has a closed ICU with intensivists on hand 24/7, so procedures are not required.
• As part of our hospitalist team, you’ll contribute to the rapid response and code team. We are all certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support, and the intensivist team will take over the code once they arrive.
• Our team will connect frequently over lunch to address concerns and receive updates on Sound and hospital matters.
• We are entertaining candidates looking for full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts.
• We use Meditech and have access to our internal informatics platform.
