Job summary

Unity Health in Searcy, AR is seeking a qualified Physician Assistant to join our medical team. The PA will practice under a supervising physician, provide patient care, and participate in neurology services including the SAVES program.

Requirements include an Arkansas PA license, NCCPA certification, 2–5 years of clinical PA experience, and BLS/ACLS certification. This is a full-time, safety-sensitive role with responsibilities spanning orders, notes, and patient management.

Qualifications

• PA license in Arkansas required.
• National certification per NCCPA required.
• 2–5 years of clinical PA experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Act as agent of supervising physician for practice-related activities, including ordering diagnostic and medical services.
• Prescriptions and orders issued by PA must identify supervising physician and be countersigned.
• PA may delegate prescriptive authority under DEA numbers for Schedule III–V drugs and other medications.
• Coordinate coverage with supervising physician in the hospital.
• Initiate H&Ps, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Take first calls for hospitalists and act according to protocols/policies.
• Assist in developing the neurology program including the SAVES program.
