Job summary

Memorial Health is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the Hospitalist Services Team at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Swing shift (2pm - 11pm) with compensation $44.00 - $77.00 per hour. You will provide comprehensive care, coordinate with physicians, and support patient advocacy and teaching.

Licensure in Illinois as APRN or PA and related certifications are required; ACLS/DEA as applicable. Minimum 1 year post-graduate experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active APRN license as required by Illinois law.
• Active PA license as required by Illinois law.
• APRn or PA certification per department.
• DEA license within 3 months of hire if not held.
• Current CPR certification; ACLS where required.
• 1+ year post-graduate experience as a mid-level provider preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates medical information to clients.
• Teaches wellness habits and educates patients on prevention of potential health problems.
• Develops educational programs with age-specific teaching tools.
• Works closely with the Physician on client issues.
• Coordinates patient care and family counseling with public and agencies.
