Decatur Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Nocturnist Hospitalist team in Decatur, IL. This full-time AP provider cares for patients across all ages, delivering evidence-based care, coordinating with physicians, and contributing to patient advocacy, teaching, and family counseling.

Qualifications

• APRNs and PAs must be licensed in Illinois.
• Current CPR certification required.
• ACLS required where the department dictates.
• Minimum of 1 year post-graduate experience as a mid-level provider preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Follow protocols under physician direction and refer to primary care when appropriate.
• Complete documentation meeting Medicare/Medicaid and MHS standards.
• Coordinate resources needed by the patient to ensure timely care.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals and patient advocates as needed.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans to meet evidence-based quality indicators.
• Act as clinical consultant and share expertise with healthcare staff.
• Review current literature to inform patient care and outcomes.
• Assist in implementing research findings and monitoring impact on care outcomes.
• Aim to improve productivity and reduce costs while maintaining patient satisfaction.
