Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, OH is seeking an acute NP or a PA to join our Hospitalist Group in a 407-bed medical center. You will work with APCs and physicians, with residents and medical students rotating with our providers.

Typical shift is 7 AM to 7 PM, 7 on, 7 off, rounding on 12-15 patients per shift, performing assessments, histories, and orders under Ohio supervision, while collaborating with case management, social work, nursing, and a supervising physician.

Responsibilities

• Admissions, consults, subsequent visits, and discharges will be completed by APC.
• Coordinate patient care with case management, social work, nursing, and collaborating physician.
• Round on an average of 12-15 patients per shift.
• 7 AM to 7 PM, 7 on, 7 off.
• Perform physical assessments and complete patient histories.
• Order medications, treatments, labs, etc. under Ohio supervision and Mercy Health credentialing rules.
• Be available for calls about patient conditions per shift schedule, including holidays.
